The Community Crisis Center, Inc is determined to meet the growing needs around us and make sure that our neighbors know that they are supported by their community.

Many older adults in our area face food insecurity due to fixed incomes, limited mobility, and health care costs.

Annie, now 87, first came to the Community Crisis Center about 5 years ago, when one of her neighbors asked her for a ride for supplemental food assistance. [Sometimes the Helpers need help, too.]

During the pandemic, Annie began utilizing our food delivery program to receive support. This year Annie’s health conditions, which include macular degeneration, have made it impossible for her to continue to drive. Like so many others, Annie is trying to manage food insecurity’s psychological aspects along with increased transportation expenses and inflation on a fixed income.

Sadly, many of the pandemic-era resources that supplied us with reduced or no cost food are now phasing out. We hope that you will help us close the gap to ensure that everyone has enough to eat, all year long.
